Oxygen Magazine Review

Having a strong immune system is imperative coming into the winter months so I decided to try this Vitamin C from Vida Lifescience. The product comes in a 32-pack box —basically a one-month supply — and each packet contains 3000 milligrams of “mega-liposomal” Vitamin C. A liposome acts in your body as a transport system to bring nutrients into your cells efficiently, and Aurora’s research indicates that the presence of liposomes in their product means that their vitamin C supplement is better absorbed than others.

I like it mixed with water, and it tastes remarkably like Tang — the preferred drink of astronauts back in the day.

My cells were not available for comment as to whether or not they absorbed the C in whole or in part, but the product was pretty easy to drink with cold water (not so much with room temperature), and it didn’t upset my stomach, despite the presence of xanthan gum. It is, however, more expensive than most vitamin C supplements — $45 per box — so take this into account when budgeting your winter vitamin regimen.

Oxygen Elite Ambassador Reviews

"Our body does not make vitamin C so we have to get it through our diet. As a dietitian I always promote food first. However, research shows taking prophylactic supplemental vitamin C can reduce the incidence of colds in some populations and can modestly reduce the duration of a cold in adults, but taking vitamin C after the onset of cold symptoms does not have the same effect.

Our body absorbs most of the vitamin C we consume up to ~180 mg/day. Absorption drops to half in doses exceeding 1,000mg/day and the rest is excreted through urine. The liposomal vitamin C technology in the Aurora Nutrascience Vitamin C encapsulates the vitamin C for more effective delivery. The supplement packet is convenient, easy to open and consume, and tastes like a creamsicle. The ingredients are simple. I typically avoid stevia because I dislike the after taste, but this didn’t have one."

"I am a firm believer in taking a vitamin C supplement daily to boost my immune system. I was not surprised at how amazing the Aurora Nutrascience Vitamin C packets are, given the company's outstanding reputation. What I love about the product the most is the convenience. I'm always on the go and this was perfect for me to add to my travel bag.

It does not require any liquids to mix it and I was able to just shake it and consume directly from the packet. The taste is also good compared to other, similar products on the market. I have noticed that my overall health has improved since adding this supplement to my daily routine. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a convenient high concentration of vitamin C."
