Namita Nayyar:

You are a well-known fashion model. Can you recollect memories of your first ever shoot?

Aysia Chanelle:

My first shoot EVER was actually with my twin brother, Chance. It was in my senior year of high school that I really found my passion for modeling and ironically enough Chance was learning his way around a camera lens. So we put up some make shift backdrop and I put on my most fancy garments accessorized with globs of makeup. I was excited and inspired by the images we created and that’s where my passion for modeling began.

Namita Nayyar:

Introduce us to a day in your life.

Aysia Chanelle:

I love starting my days early! My morning almost always consist of a cup of tea. Doesn’t matter which kind, but I typically love starting my day with a hot cup of green tea. After my tea, I’m ready for my favorite part of my day, yoga. With my busy schedule, I’ve found it so important to take a second to stretch and energize my body before my day gets away from me. A day in my life can look like so many different things. One day I can be traveling back and forth for auditions, or shooting for hours and hours, and other days I’m in my orange shorts as a Hooters Girl.

Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine that you may like to share? Five must-dos for flat abs?

Aysia Chanelle:

My workout routine is not concrete, let me tell you! I really love to listen to what my body needs that day. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t skipped out on leg day for a light yoga session instead. But normally, I try to get at least two cardio workouts, and two weight training sessions a week. I like to incorporate three rest days a week to give my body and muscles time to replenish!

However, you can almost always find me on my yoga mat. Whether it be a quick 5 minute stretch or an hour long vinyasa flow, my yoga practice has been a key part in both my physical and mental well-being and it’s something I have been practicing for 6 years now. I also LOVE running. For me, running is one way I like to clear my mind or really think on something.

Being a swimsuit pageant competitor, I can say achieving flat abs takes hard work! But totally achievable with a healthy diet first! But my top five must do ab workouts are, Russian twists, bicycle crunches, leg extensions, scissor kicks and my favorite…planks!
