Description

Make this icy, easy-breezy, low-added sugar, blended Light & Lovely Cantaloupe Margarita with only five ingredients in minutes!

Ingredients

Margarita:

  • 1 medium fresh cantaloupe, peeled, cubed (about 4 cups), chilled
  • 2 fresh medium limes, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons agave nectar
  • ½ cup silver tequila
  • ¼ cup triple sec (orange liqueur)
  • 12 ice cubes

Salted Cinnamon Sugar Rim (optional):

  • ½ lemon or lime
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Garnish (optional):

  • 6 cubes cantaloupe
  • 6 lime wedges
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 6 toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Place cubed cantaloupe, lime juice, agave nectar, tequila, triple sec, and ice cubes in the container of a large blender.
  2. Process until smooth and blended.
  3. If desired, rim glasses (6 small or 4 large) with the salted cinnamon sugar: Run the cut, wet side of a fresh lemon or lime against the rim of each glass to moisten it.

Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small dish. Press the rim of each moistened glass into the salted cinnamon sugar mixture. Allow to dry briefly.

  4. Fill glasses with margarita.
  5. If desired, garnish with a toothpick threaded with cantaloupe cube, lime wedge, and mint leaf.
  6. Serve immediately.
  7. Makes 6 small margaritas (1 ¼ cups per serving); or 4 large margaritas (1 ¾ cups each).
