If you can’t find cultured plain soy yogurt, use a non-dairy yogurt starter to make your first batch, following package instructions. Many starter products utilize packets (about 1 packet per quart of soymilk) and you can make your first batch in your Instant Pot on the yogurt setting. Reserve ½ cup from the first batch to use in subsequent batches of soy yogurt using this recipe.

This cultured soy yogurt makes a thinner consistency.

Choose fortified soymilk with vitamin D and calcium for a nutrient-rich soy yogurt. The nutritional content of the soy yogurt will vary based on the soymilk you use.
