Homemade Pistachio Butter

Did you know you can make your own plant-based, home-made pistachio butter yourself in minutes with just two ingredients? Yes, that’s right! Homemade pistachio butter is similar in texture to peanut butter or sunflower seed butter, and the antioxidant compounds in pistachios are responsible for that lovely green shade.

Description

Learn how to make your own healthy, plant-based, gluten-free homemade pistachio butter in minutes with only two ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shelled pistachios (may use unsalted or lightly salted, according to your preference)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons pistachio oil (may substitute with avocado or extra virgin olive oil)

Instructions

  1. Place pistachios and olive oil into the container of a high power blender.
  2. Process until pistachio butter reaches desired consistency. May need to stop and scrape down sides as needed.
  3. Transfer to a jar with a tight-fitting lid.

    Makes about 1 cup; 8 (2-tablespoon) servings.
