What Is Swiss Chard?
Swiss chard (also known as chard) is a healthy, delicious leafy green vegetable. Related to beets and spinach, Swiss chard is a nutrient-rich vegetables, containing vitamins A, C, and K, magnesium, iron and potassium. Swiss chard is very versatile; you can use it like any leafy green by steaming, sautéing, and pan-frying, as well as including it in recipes, like soups, pasta, casseroles, and stir-fries.
You can also enjoy it fresh, in salads, smoothies, and grain bowls. Swiss chard can easily be grown in a vegetable garden, so give it a try! (Download my Grow Your Own Food Toolkit here.) Rainbow Swiss chard is a beautiful variety of chard which has multi-colored stems.
