Many people perform the standard plank in their daily workout routines, but very few incorporate the side plank.

The side plank can be beneficial because it not only works your core muscles, but also helps tone your waist and increase your strength. If this is something you want to work on, make sure to give this move a try and add it to your daily workout routine!

Side planks are also beneficial because it helps improve muscle endurance in the lower back. It takes time to work the core and build up your oblique strength to do side planks. I offer a modified side plank before jumping right into the side plank, and exercises that will help you perform the side plank better.
